Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our services, appointments and billing. If you can't find what you're looking for, our team is here to help.

Do you offer bulk billing?+

Yes. We bulk bill all Medicare-eligible diagnostic imaging services, meaning there's no out-of-pocket cost for most patients. Just bring a valid Medicare card and a referral from your doctor.

What if my scan isn't covered by Medicare?+

If your scan isn't Medicare-eligible, a private billing fee may apply. We'll always let you know in advance and provide a clear quote so there are no surprises.

What is the billing process like?+

For Medicare-covered services, no payment is needed at your appointment. For private services we issue a detailed invoice, offer flexible payment options and provide a receipt for your records or reimbursements.

What should I bring to my appointment?+

A valid Medicare card, a referral from your GP or specialist, and any relevant concession or private health insurance cards.

How much will my procedure cost?+

Costs vary depending on the type of scan, your Medicare eligibility, and whether you're covered by private health insurance. We'll provide a clear breakdown of fees before you book.

What payment options do you accept?+

EFTPOS, Visa & Mastercard, bank transfer (details on invoice), HICAPS for on-the-spot private health claiming, and payment plans for some procedures on request.

Do I need an appointment?+

Walk-ins are welcome for most X-ray and general imaging services. Ultrasound, CT and interventional procedures are best booked in advance so we can prepare the room and any contrast required.

How long does a scan take?+

Most X-rays take 10–15 minutes. Ultrasound and CT typically take 20–45 minutes. Interventional procedures vary — our team will explain the expected time when you book.

When will my referrer receive my results?+

Reports are delivered to your referrer within 24 hours of the scan, most commonly the same day via secure electronic delivery.
